One of Ticonderoga’s biggest events of the year is happening this weekend – the Best 4th in the North Celebration! Featuring a parade, vendors, live music, activities, a grand fireworks display, and more from Friday through Tuesday, this is a can’t-miss celebration at the northern end of Lake George.
Red, Rock & Roll Independence Day Celebration – Saturday, July 1
This year, Westport has some big plans in store for their Red, Rock & Roll Independence Day Celebration. Starting at 9:00am this Saturday, activities will include a vendor fair, strawberry shortcake sales, a parade, a pig roast, live music, fireworks, and more throughout the community.
North Creek Independence Day Fireworks Celebration – Saturday, July 1
The North Creek Ski Bowl will host the Gore Mountain Region’s thrilling fireworks celebration this Saturday! Start off the evening with live music, a BBQ, kids’ games, and more at 5:00pm, and then get ready for the fireworks to go off around 10:00pm later that night.

Fun, Family-Friendly Festivals & Shows
Raquette Lake Strawberry Festival – Saturday, July 1
Starting at 11:00am this Saturday, the popular Raquette Lake Strawberry Festival will be held at the Raquette Lake Fire Hall. Stop by and enjoy some tasty strawberry shortcake and take part in the festivities. A portion of proceeds raised at the festival will go toward the fire department.
Strawberry Festival and Bazaar – Saturday, July 1
Visit the Community Methodist Church in Chestertown this Saturday for their Strawberry Festival & Bazaar. Enjoy strawberry shortcake, ice cream, and other treats, and then browse the street bazaar, which will feature both food and handcrafted items. The festival will run from 9:00am-3:00pm.
45th Annual Forge Festival of Arts & Crafts – Sunday, July 2
Head over to the Adirondack Bank parking lot in Old Forge this Sunday for the 45th annual Forge Festival of Arts & Crafts. Over 40 skilled vendors will display their products and works at the festival. Admission is just $3pp, and funds will benefit View Arts Center.
48th Annual Lake Placid Horse Show – Today Through Sunday, July 2
Come by the Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds for the multi-day 48th annual Lake Placid Horse Show! The competition will feature horse show jumpers, and on each day, events will run from 9:00am-5:00pm. Admission is $2pp on weekdays and $5pp on the weekend.

“Life in the Adirondacks” Grand Opening – Saturday, July 1
After months of waiting, the highly anticipated “Life in the Adirondacks” exhibition is scheduled to open this Saturday at the Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake. This 19,000-square-foot exhibition will be fully immersive and allow visitors to interactively explore the history and culture of the Adirondack Park. The grand opening will kick off at 10:15am on Saturday morning. Don’t miss it!
Annual Jimmy Buffet Party – Saturday, July 1
Set sail for Margaritaville on board the Raquette Lake Navigation Company’s WW Durant during their annual Jimmy Buffet Party! The early afternoon party will include a costume contest, a DJ playing island tunes, a trivia contest, a delicious buffet, and more. The cruise can accommodate a maximum of 75 guests.
Minerva Day Weekend Celebration – Friday, June 30 – Sunday, July 2
Saturday is the Town of Minerva’s 30th annual Minerva Day Celebration, but all weekend long, the community will host all kinds of exciting events and activities. Highlights include multiple garage sales, live music, a vendor fair at Courtney Park, a Bicentennial Parade, food, and fireworks at dusk on Saturday!
