Celebrate Summer With Festivals & Fairs
19th Annual Raquette Lake Durant Days and Boat Parade Weekend – Friday, August 4 – Sunday, August 6
Get ready for the 19th annual Raquette Lake Durant Days and Boat Parade Weekend! This three-day festival is a celebration of William West Durant, the creator of the Great Camps style of architecture. Highlights include rides on board the WW Durant, live entertainment, a boat parade, fireworks, and more.
14th Annual Stony Creek Mountain Days Festival – Friday, August 4 – Sunday, August 6
Join the community of Stony Creek for their 14th annual Stony Creek Mountain Days Festival on Friday through Sunday at Green Meadows Park. Enjoy lumberjack competitions, vendors and displays, live music, activities, a town-wide garage sale, and more.
2017 Plattsburgh Brewfest – Saturday, August 5
To accommodate the large number of attendees the event attracts, the 2017 Plattsburgh Brewfest will be held at a new venue this year – the Clinton County Fairgrounds! The festival will run from 2:00pm-5:00pm, and general admission tickets are $35, which includes 15 tasting tickets, a tasting glass, and discount pricing for the Post-Brewfest concert.
Long Lake “Heart of the Park” Craft Fair – Sunday, August 6
From 10:00am-4:00pm this Sunday, the Town of Long Lake will host their “Heart of the Park” Craft Fair at the Mt. Sabattis Pavilion. Stop by and browse the wide selection of photographs, fudge, pottery, t-shirts, textile art, jewelry, novelty items, and more goods. Admission is $1 per person.

Music Fest & 60th Anniversary Celebration – Saturday, August 5
Adirondack Experience, formerly known as the Adirondack Museum on Blue Mountain Lake, will host a 60th anniversary celebration and music festival this Saturday. Join them for this mountainous musical celebration featuring talented regional and national performers. Concert admission is included in general museum admission.
Wayne Stock X – Friday, August 4 & Saturday, August 5
Visit the North Creek Ski Bowl this Friday and Saturday for Wayne Stock X, “Family.” This is the North Country Hardship Fund’s largest yearly fundraiser, and events will include music on both days, live and silent auctions, activities for kids, and great food. Admission is free.
Caroga Lake Music Festival – Today Through Sunday, August 20
The 6th annual Caroga Lake Music Festival is still underway in the Adirondacks! This multi-week summer music festival features exciting performances at venues in and around Caroga Lake. Take a look at this weekend’s lineup of concerts and plan a trip!

44th Annual Tupper Lake Art Show – Thursday, August 3 – Sunday, August 6
The 44th Annual Art Show in Tupper Lake will kick off this Thursday at the Ginsberg Building with a meet the artists reception. The show will run through Sunday, and proceeds will benefit the Tupper Lake Arts Council. Don’t miss the Street Festival on Saturday!
Gun Show & Adirondack Expo – Saturday, August 5
This Saturday, NEACA, Inc. of New York State will host their Gun Show & Adirondack Expo at the Hiltebrant Center in Old Forge from 9:00am-5:00pm. A wide range of products will be on display from regional vendors. Admission is $7 for adults, and children 14 and younger get in for free.
25th Annual Ticonderoga Area Car Show – Sunday, August 6
One of the Adirondack Park’s biggest car shows of the season is taking place this Saturday in Ticonderoga! Head over to Ticonderoga’s Bicentennial Park on Saturday morning starting at 9:00am and check out all of the classic and unique automobiles. There will also be food, vendors, a kids’ zone, a raffle, music, and more during the car show.
