The Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake is one of the most well-known performing arts venues in the Adirondack Park, and each year, they present an exciting lineup of plays and events. In a recent announcement, the local theatre unveiled their 2018 summer season, which will include “The Love List,” “Beauty & The Beast Jr.,” and more!

The 2018 Summer Season
The Pendragon Theatre’s 2018 summer season will kick off in June with their Patrons’ Pick winner, “The Love List” by Norm Foster. This hilarious and thought-provoking comedy focuses on Leon and Bill who create a list of attributes of the ideal woman. However, when this ideal woman shows up, they realize their list may need some revisions.
Last November, the theatre hosted two evenings of scene readings from various plays and asked audiences and the community to vote for their favorite (the Patrons’ Pick). “The Love List” was chosen as the winner, but because the final results were so close, the runner-up, Jordan Harrison’s “Marjorie Prime,” will be the second play of the 2018 summer season.
Following “Majorie Prime,” “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” will be performed as part of the theatre’s Camp Pendragon & Family Show. Then, in August, the theatre will present “I Hate Hamlet,” a comedy by Paul Rudnick that follows television actor Andrew Rally as he takes on the dream role of Hamlet.
The 2018 summer season will conclude with the Fall Classic and touring show “Sense and Sensibility,” a play based on the beloved novel by Jane Austen.
Once the summer season ends, you can look forward to spooky entertainment around Halloween, holiday shows, and much more!
