About the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival
For many, the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival isn’t just another winter festival, it’s a tradition. This long-running celebration welcomes visitors to the Saranac Lake community for a wide range of activities, attractions, and events the whole family can enjoy, including the annual Gala Parade, outdoor sports and games, live performances, fireworks, and much more.
Best of all, carnival-goers can experience the iconic ice palace, which is constructed from massive blocks of ice each year. The ice is harvested from Lake Flower and then built into a palace near the NY State boat launch on the lake’s shoreline. It’s truly a sight to behold!

You can mail submissions to the following address: Winter Carnival Committee, Attention: King/Queen Nomination, P.O. Box 829, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Alternatively, you can drop off your submissions to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise or the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
