St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Saranac Lake – Saturday, March 17
Don’t miss Saranac Lake’s 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday afternoon! The parade will line up at 12:00pm in the St. Bernard’s Church parking lot and begin marching down Church Street at 1:00pm.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Forge – Friday, March 16
Creativity is always the theme of Old Forge’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Bring the family to Main Street in Old Forge on Friday at 5:00pm and check out all of the parade participants, costumes, floats, and more.
Sham ‘Rock’ the Block in Lake George – Saturday, March 17 & Sunday, March 18
Get ready for the annual Sham ‘Rock’ the Block celebration in Lake George Village this weekend! This fun-filled St. Patrick’s Day party will feature a keg tossing contest, activities for the kids, live music, and more. The parade will be held on Sunday at 1:00pm.
The Magical Leprechaun Race – Saturday, March 17
Gore Mountain will host their Magical Leprechaun Race on Saturday in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day! Join the leprechaun team and face the challengers, or race the leprechauns and see if you can beat them.

NY State Maple Weekends – Saturday, March 17 & Sunday, March 18
The first of New York State’s two 2018 Maple Weekends will be held this Saturday and Sunday. During these two days, multiple sugar houses and maple farms will open their doors to the public for tours, tastings, treats, and more. Check out which places are participating in and around the Adirondacks, and plan a trip!
Spring Artisan Fair – Sunday, March 18
Visit Plattsburgh Brewing Company on Sunday for a cool Spring Artisan Fair featuring handcrafted products only. Admission is free, and there will be an arts and crafts area for kids.

35th Annual Lake Placid Loppet and Kort Loppet – Saturday, March 17
End the winter season on a high note and challenge yourself to the Lake Placid Loppet on Saturday at the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Cross-Country Ski Center. The Lake Placid Loppet includes races for all abilities and plenty of Nordic fun.
Pond Skimming at Oak Mountain – Saturday, March 17
Head over to the Oak Mountain Ski Center in Speculator for an exciting Pond Skiing event on Saturday from 1:00pm-2:00pm! Located at the base area, spectators are welcome to watch all of the pond skimmers in their attempts. There will also be a BBQ and live music.
2nd Annual Whiteface Ski Mountaineering Classic – Sunday, March 18
On Sunday, The Mountaineer and Whiteface Mountain will host the 2nd Annual Ski Mountaineering Classic! Registration to compete in this 4+ mile-long course is $60 per person.
