Railbiking has been a popular and unique way to enjoy the gorgeous sights of the Adirondacks since Revolution Rail popped up four years ago. Come spring, there will be another way you can bike along a repurposed train track in the Park.

Adirondack Railroad has announced a new railbike adventure that will start on May 8, 2021 at Thendara Station: Adirondack Scenic Rail Bike Adventures. The pedal-powered vehicles sit four, the route is 6 miles, and it will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to enjoy the full ride.
“Rail bikes are a great way to explore the Adirondack Mountains as you pedal along the scenic rails, three miles north of the Thendara Station, to a turnaround point where you can stop for a break before you turn around and head back to the station,” Bill Branson, President of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad Board of Directors, said in a statement.
While Revolution Rail is based out of North Creek and draws in patrons from the North Country, southern Adirondacks, and Capital Region, Thendara is close to Old Forge. Now, there will be a railbiking opportunity based out of the central/western part of the Adirondacks, so even more adventurous folks can try this incredible activity.
