Tickets are now on sale for the biggest event in the Lake Placid region since the 1980 Winter Olympics: The 2023 FISU World University Games! From January 12-22, Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Wilmington, North Creek, Canton and Potsdam will welcome 2500 athletes and coaches from 600 universities to compete in 86 medal events over 11 days.

The FISU World University Games are the largest winter multi-sport collegiate athletic event in the world and feature 12 different sports. Many of the athletes who compete in the FISU games go on to compete in the Olympics, which means the competitors are the top collegiate athletes in the world, and the events are spectacular.
Tickets for the 2023 FISU Games are now on sale, at varying prices. Tickets for the preliminary round of Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey games are set at $10. For $15, spectators can purchase tickets to Alpine Skiing, Freeski & Snowboard, Cross-Country, Nordic Combined, Ski Jumping, Speed Skating, Short Track Speed Skating, Biathlon and Curling preliminary rounds. Tickets for Men’s and Women’s Figure Skating Short Program, and both the Ice Dance Rhythm and Free Dance, are also priced at $15.
Ticket prices for Figure Skating’s Free Skate and Exhibition Gala are $25, while the Curling finals cost $35.
For $45, attendees can purchase tickets to the Lake Placid 2023 FISU Games’ Opening Ceremony and the Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey gold medal games. Tickets for the Men’s Ice Hockey gold medal game also include admission to the Closing Ceremony for the Games.
