7th Annual Adirondack Film Festival
October 13-15
The Adirondack Film Festival is a huge celebration of talent and culture, with everything from Academy Award-winning movies to homegrown Adirondack films. Screenings will be shown at the Charles R. Wood Theater, Crandall Public Library, and the Queensbury Hotel.
Happy Hour at The Bobcat Bar & Grill

Lake Placid Trail Challenge: Inaugural Spartan Trail Race
October 15
Cheer on participants as they run in 10k, half-marathon, and 50k races on Mt Van Hoevenberg. Runners will use trails from the 1932 and 1980 Olympics. Don’t miss it!

Check out the Fall Craft & Vendor Fair at Essex County Fairgrounds! The event will have a variety of fun events, including a Halloween costume contest and trunk or treat for the kids!
Fall Foliage Hike: Cat & Thomas
October 15
Enjoy the foliage on this 7-mile hike of Cat & Thomas Mountain Preserve with the Lake George Land Conservancy! The venture will be led by volunteer John Crist, an experienced hike leader. Looking for something outside of the box? Take part in this class at the Adirondack Folk School, where you’ll learn how to make herb-infused vinegar, including Margo’s tried and true “must make” Fire Cider Vinegar formula for immune system support. Don’t forget your cutting board, knife, and apron.
