Once Turkey Day has officially passed, the Adirondacks gear up for the holiday season! Check out some truly magical events happening over the weekend in the ADK region and kick off your season with some festive fun.

Adirondack Christmas on Main Street in Inlet & Old Forge
November 25-27
There’s nothing more magical than a holiday stroll in the Adirondacks during the Christmas season. This annual event in the towns of Inlet and Old Forge includes shopping, hunting for candy canes, music, horse-drawn wagon rides, and, of course, a visit from the one and only Santa Claus and his lovely wife.
November 25-26
Check out nearly 25 craft and artisan vendors during the Country Christmas Tour! Vendors will be at their homes and at the Indian Lake Central School gym—many fun activities will also be featured for kids, such as the Children’s Craft Workshop & story time with Santa & Mrs. Claus. Adirondack Health 5K Turkey Trot
November 24
Get prepared to gobble up some turkey later in the day by participating in the 13th annual Adirondack Health Turkey Trot! This flat 5k run/walk takes place in Lake Placid and begins at the Beach House. Prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers. It’s a fun family event to kick off Thanksgiving Day!
Thanksgiving Dinner at Whiteface Lodge
November 24
Forget the frustrations of cooking for the family and have someone else do it for you! Whiteface Lodge is offering a Thanksgiving dinner for those who just want to relax. You can either pick up your meal or eat in at the luxury resort’s onsite restaurant, Kanu. With mouthwatering specials such as rosemary turkey rolls and pumpkin cheesecake, it’s sure to be a hit with the whole family.
Holiday Stroll & Tree Lighting in Lake Luzerne
November 27
Enjoy a festive start to the season in Lake Luzerne! This event will feature the annual tree lighting in the park, a singalong with Bobby Dick and Susie Q, candy, cocoa, and kids gifts at Harmon House, and even a special visit from Santa in the pavilion on 9N!
