This weekend in the Adirondacks, enjoy a Hallmark holiday feel with special events in Lake Placid, Old Forge, Schroon Lake, Ticonderoga, and more.
Get ready for a festive Lake Placid tradition this weekend! The Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll is a fun weekend event with a ton of free things to do, such as a skating party, ugly sweater party, free movie showing, and a Santa fire truck parade. Enjoy events every day and even some that span all weekend long.
Kick off snowmobile season with this fun annual event. All four major snowmobile manufacturers—Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat, Polaris, and Yamaha—will be present with new models. There will also be a Vintage Snowmobile Show & Swap, and even a Snowmobile Raffle.
Visit quaint Schroon Lake for the annual Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration. Find book sales, bake sales, raffles, a polar plunge, carolers, a parade, and much more. Be sure to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Strand on Saturday!
Don’t worry if you miss them—you can drop your letters for St. Nick in a special mailbox in front of the Chamber of Commerce.
The Adirondack Health Jingle Bell 2.5 Mile Run/Walk is held in conjunction with the Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll. Don’t forget to wear your best costume for a chance to win a prize! All participants are encouraged to bring a new and unwrapped toy to donate to the Essex County WIC toy collection.
Create a magical and special memory with your family this Sunday at Ticonderoga Golf Course! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to spend time and take photos with the kids—and each child will even receive a small gift to help get them in the holiday spirit. The breakfast buffet will feature cinnamon vanilla French toast, buttermilk pancakes with a variety of toppings, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and more!
