If you’re a fan of the outdoors, there’s no better way to enjoy nature than camping. And if you love camping in the Adirondacks, you’ll be pleased to hear that the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has announced changes to its campground reservation system this upcoming season.
Starting this year, campground visitors can book same-day reservations through ReserveAmerica’s website or by calling them at 1-800-456-2267. With these new changes, campers now have the flexibility to make last-minute bookings at any of the DEC’s 52 campgrounds as late as 5 PM on the desired day of arrival.
In addition to the same-day reservation changes, the DEC also announced that visitors will be able to book one-night stays at any DEC campground for the 2023 season beginning April 7.
With these new changes in place, organizing your next camping trip in the Adirondacks will be even easier. Whether you’re looking for a last-minute escape or planning far ahead in advance – these updates will provide more options so everyone can enjoy New York State’s incredible outdoors!
