Keep busy this weekend with these top events happening in the Adirondacks! Cheer on college athletes from all over the nation at the NCAA Skiing Championships, or take a trip to a sugar house for the first weekend of the Thurman Maple Days! Through March 11
The 2023 NCAA Skiing Championships are back in New York State for the fourth time! Hosted by the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority and St. Lawrence University, athletes from Division I, II, and III schools will compete for individual titles in Nordic and Alpine events at Whiteface Mountain and Mt Van Hoevenberg. Check it out; we can’t wait to see who takes home all the honors!
Yappy Hour at Raquette River Brewing

Have a drink and support a good cause this Friday at Yappy Hour at Raquette River Brewing. Hang out with friends in their relaxing environment, listen to good music, and cheers with a cold one brewed right in Tupper Lake. Best of all, $1 will go to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society for every beer sold during the event.
Lantern Lit Sleigh Rides and Speakeasy Dinner Experience

Step back in time and explore the Adirondacks like never before. Join a local farm for an incredible horse-drawn sleigh ride, with lanterns guiding you on your journey through the woods. Your ride will take you to one of the last original prohibition-era lodges, complete with secret password entry and a speakeasy dining experience.
March 11-12
This weekend kicks off the Thurman Maple Days in the Adirondacks! Visit any of the participating farms, including Nettle Meadow Farm, Toad Hill Maple Farm, and more, and enjoy activities like demonstrations, tours, and of course, lots of samples! Valley Road Maple Farm will host a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausages from 9-1 for you to use your new homemade maple syrup. Come see what sugaring is all about!
March Santanoni Winter Weekend
March 11-12
This weekend is the last Winter Weekend at Camp Santanoni. Participate in a ski or snowshoe 10-mile round trip through farms and the Forest Preserve of the Adirondacks. Short interpretive tours are included, and visitors will have the rare opportunity to go inside buildings on the Camp and meet with local guides. The nearby Artist’s Studio will also be open to grab a hot chocolate and warm up!
Chestertown St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 11
Show off your green attire at the Chestertown St. Patrick’s Day Parade this Saturday for a fun-filled day! This will be a great family event to attend, and there will be floats, delicious food, music, and more. Show love to the local community members, from the scout troops to the local fire department, at this classic, small-town parade.
