Wevertown, NY is a beautiful hamlet in the
Adirondack Mountains near
Johnsburg in the northwest corner of
Warren County New York. Wevertown was founded by John Wever and his wife, Marcey who operated a sawmill. Wevertown was originally a tannery that opened in 1833.

Beaverbrook Outfitters in Wevertown is conveniently located in the heart of the Adirondacks. They carry a variety of
canoes and kayaks, new and used. For the
fisherman, they carry lures, spin casting equipment and Orvis fly fishing equipment. You can also pick up sleeping bags, hiking shoes, camp stoves, etc. in their
camping and
hiking department. They also have a great selection of USGS topographic maps in the region.
As for
lodging, Dillon Hill Inn Cabins are a must stay. The inn is known for its beauty, solitude and peace. Breakfast is always excellent with outstanding service and the hospitality goes far beyond your expectations. The rooms are spacious, cozy and very clean. The cabins have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and are very nicely decorated.
