About this event

2nd Annual Cooperative Extension Warren County Art Show/ Exhibit
At Chester Public Library

Chestertown, NY – The Town of Chester Public Library is proud to announce its June exhibit, which will feature the 2nd Annual Cooperative Extension Warren County (CCE) Art Show in the Ruplin Art Gallery. The show features art created by Warren County Master Gardener volunteers, 4H participants, and community members, in mediums such as photography, painting, drawing, textiles, and wood; a number of pieces will be for sale to benefit CCE.

Please join us for the exhibit reception on Friday, June 12th, from 4 - 5 pm. The gallery will also feature educational materials about CCE and its programs, and include information on native plants, pollinators, trees, fruits and vegetables, houseplants, flowers, and natural landscapes. CCE staff and many of the artists will be present at the reception and talk about their work and answer questions.

“The art show is a great way to welcome spring in the Adirondacks, which most of us eagerly await. More than 30 local artists have created beautiful work reflecting and interpreting the nature that surrounds us. We hope the show and educational materials will inspire you to learn more about plants and the natural landscapes and support your own growing, whether it be in a garden or your home,” said Linden Pearsall, Community Horticulture Coordinator. “I am very excited to see what our youth have created this year as they continue to grow as artists and people in their communities,” said Jeffrey DeJesus, Family Living & 4-H Coordinator.

Although the reception afternoon/night will feature a presentation and refreshments, the exhibit will also be available for viewing during library hours throughout the month of June.
