If the outdoors is your passion, there are plenty of water activities available with Lake Pleasant and Sacandaga Lake just a few miles away. Canoeing, kayaking, and fishing are among the most popular for those spending time in Speculator. In the Fall, the foliage of the local trees are as brilliantly colored as any in the Adirondacks, so make sure to bring a sweater and hiking shoes to get the best views.
