The 9th Annual Battenkill Runs Through It River Festival happens Saturday, May 25, 2019 from Noon – 5pm at the Greenwich Town Beach, just north of the village on State Route 29. The free community supported family friendly environmental river festival kicks off the summer season on the banks of the Battenkill and celebrates one of the largest public parks along the river's banks.

Returning to headline the music is the popular Capital Region band, Heard, featuring their unique, internationally flavored jazz & percussion sound. Following a flag raising ceremony and community sing along of America the Beautiful, the musical trio of George Wilson on fiddle, Alan Epstein on mandolin and Mitchell D Throopon bass open the musical entertainment. Morning DJ, WEXT Radio Dave Michaels returns to EMCEE the event, continuing the WMHT commitment to community, culture and connections.

The Battenkill Picnic plate showcases the best eats around starting with Boy Scout Troop 127 serving bbq chicken & healthy offerings from area restaurants and local food purveyors. Desserts, beverages and other good eats will also be available for purchase.

Kick off the summer season with great food, lively music and a range of river related activities beginning at Noon and ending at 5:00 PM. Entry to the festival is free.
