Lake Pleasant Central School will be holding the second annual 5k Run/Walk on June 1st at 10am in honor of Mrs. Judee Lauria, Mrs. Amy Bartholomew and Susan G. Komen.
Mrs. Lauria was a science teacher at Lake Pleasant School and has battled Breast Cancer for several years. Two years ago, she could no longer continue as a teacher. She is an exceptional teacher, friend and community member. As of this year, a student in the 8th grade found out his mother, (Amy Bartholomew) was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Mrs. Bartholomew loves being outdoors, being active in the community, but most of all spending time with her family. With the help of our new teacher Mrs. Vanessa Saltis, we decided to raise money for Breast Cancer by continuing the LPCS 5k Run/Walk. Please come and run or walk with us on June 1st. The pre-registration fee is $15 and the day of registration is $20. All proceeds go to Susan G. Komen For the Cure of Northeastern New York. Registration begins at 9am.
