This resort has quickly become one of my favorites. I haven't put a finger on it as to why. I think it is just because of the combination of the people and natural setting. They have a lot to do there, but the park has a way of making relaxing at the site feel like enough. They honestly make you feel like family. I'm looking forward to my next visit. It was hard to put the camper away this year, knowing this place is open all year round.

We have been going to old forge for about 7 yrs. Our daughter told us about it and we are very happy she did. We LOVE IT even though we go just on father's day wknd. One thing I wish they would do is give you the option to keep the cottage or cabin you have for the following yr if you choose to.

Very very bad management. Took my niece there during a troubling time. Requested we have a fire Pitt for our stay...and on the phone we were told it would all be ready for us. Got there not only did they barely plow a spot to park ..but no fire pit. We drove hours ...just to sit by it and cry. When I tried speaking to a manage she couldn't handle her temper and needed to have another speak to me. Needless to say I was told I should have built a fireby the front door as if there were no fire hazards doing so .and we we're leaving. A whole special night was ruined and couldn't even been fixed when spoken to a manager who seemed so lost with her human side even while I was boogery crying in front of the whole office ...not even one person offered me a tissue...only a phone call on the following Monday of which I never received. It took numerous upsetting emails before anyone even called. And it was only one time. I would love to talk to the owner of this place as I have been a camper there for 30 yeah and I will never return Events
