Adirondack Harvest Festival
While the Adirondack Harvest Festival will not consist of the typical gathering this year, organizers are cooking up a super fun free range festival. You'll still be able to explore all the area has to offer.
Virtual Farm Visits
There will be virtual visits with local farmers available throughout the day, featuring works from photographer Sam Cecil who visited 10 local farms and captured their work during a busy harvest.
Virtual Scavenger Hunt
The virtual scavenger hunt won't require visitors to collect items or hunt for hidden treasure. To scavenge, people have to tag themselves on Instagram or Facebook in a video and make it public. The hunt ends at local breweries with food trucks outside or at the Whallonsburgh Grange Spaced Out Summer Tent for a movie and ice cream.
Those who make the most tags win significant prizes! First place is a $200 gift certificate to the Adirondack Harvest member of your choice, second place wins $100, and third place wins $40.
Events to explore and locations to tag in the Free Range Scavenger Hunt will be online on September 19.
More to Know for the Festival
A Champlain Area Trails hike will take place at the fairgrounds, which people need to sign up for ahead of time (this is prior to the scavenger hunt).
There is also an Adirondack Harvest Challenge in the work, farm and producer workshops online, and more.
