For 34 years Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center has been offering a unique winter experience to individuals, couples and families alike. Tucked away in a snow basin in the heart of snow country and enjoying some of the most reliable snowfalls in the East, Lapland Lake offers lengthy winter seasons often beginning in November and extending into April.

The award-winning resort's superb 50km marked, mapped trail system for all ability levels offers 38km of trails meticulously snowcat groomed with trackset and skating lanes and 12km of marked, mapped and ungroomed trails dedicated to snowshoeing. 2km of trails are illuminated for night skiing on a nightly basis to our lodging guests and to the general public on specially designated dates. Surrounded by thousands of acres of spectacular state forestland, wilderness touring and snowshoeing opportunities abound!

A multi-recreational vacation center, Lapland Lake offers a variety of activities to complement your cross country ski and snowshoe experience. Ice-skating, tubing, kicksledding and wilderness touring are also offered. A visit with the resort's two domesticated reindeer, Talvi and Viima, is certain to be a highlight of your day!

Our spacious two-story Finnish Line Warming Lodge contains full-service rental, retail and repair shops, wax room, comfortable warming area, Kuuma Tupa Snack Bar, rest rooms and shower room with changing area.

Lapland Lake's courteous, knowledgeable staff is ready to make repairs and to offer expert advice on the latest equipment. If you prefer to rent gear, staff members will assist you in the selection of proper equipment from hundreds of rentals including adult and junior skating skis; classic skis in traditional, mid and short lengths; lightweight snowshoes; tubes; ice skates; pulks and Scandinavian kicksleds.

Our PSIA Ski School offers exceptional classic and skate ski instruction in group, private or semi-private settings to skiers of all ages and ability levels.

Lunch is served daily at our Tuulen Tupa Grill. Menu features include Finnish specialties, vegetarian and American fare at reasonable prices. Saturday dinner service features delicious weekly specials, and nightly take-out service is available for our lodging guests. On weekends and holidays our Kuuma Tupa Snack Bar, located on the second level of the Finnish Line Lodge, offers warming soup and chili along with a variety of snacks and beverages.

Enjoy a day-long visit or indulge yourself with an overnight stay in one of our ten immaculate trailside tupas (housekeeping cottages). Each contains a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining areas, 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms, bath with shower, electric baseboard heat and toasty woodstove. Linens and woodstove supplies are provided. After a delightful day on the trails, our authentic Finnish wood-burning sauna soothes our lodging guests' weary muscles. For the ultimate in personal indulgence, therapeutic massage, offered by a NYS licensed massage therapist, may be arranged in the privacy of your tupa.
