The purpose of this society shall be:
  1. To bring together persons interested in history, and particularly the history of the Town of Bolton, Warren County, New York and the surrounding area.
  2. To discover, procure and preserve whatever may relate to the natural, civil, literary and ecclesiastical history of the Town of Bolton and the surrounding area.
  3. To display and make available for study relics, books, manuscripts, papers, photographs and all other records and materials relating to the early and current history of the Town of Bolton on Lake George.
  4. To disseminate historical information relating to the Town of Bolton.
  5. To mark and identify places of historic interest in the Town of Bolton and to preserve historic sites and buildings in the Town
