Tour a Working Adirondack Farm: Discover Maple Sugaring Traditions, Farm Animals, Orchards & More

From maple sugaring in the spring to pumpkin harvest in the fall, there are a wide variety of opportunities to explore farms, orchards and maple sugar shacks throughout the Adirondacks. Many of the area's maple farms celebrate Maple Weekends each March when you can visit and learn more about the maple sugaring process. Other times, tours -- especially small group tours -- can often be arranged by contacting the owners. Some of the area's working farms will also have designated farm tour weekends or hours, and of course, fall with its bounty of apples and pumpkins offers family activities that can include hayrides, corn mazes and other fun activities. Check out the maple sugar producers and farms below and learn more about the Adirondack's rich agricultural traditions.
