ADIRONDACKS NY -- The Adirondack Balloon Festival is September 18 - 21, 2008! Come witness the wonder as hot air balloons of all colors, shapes and sizes set launch all at once over the Adirondack countryside at several events throughout the weekend. An awe-inspiring event for children and adults alike, the Adirondack Balloon Festival is fun and free to attend.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18th - Crandall Park, Glens Falls
- 5:00 PM - Opening Cermony - Flight of 12+ hot air balloons - Stony Creek Band in the Shell
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th - Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 6:00 PM - Balloon Launch of 60+ balloons (including some special shaped balloons!)
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th - Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Breakfast - Airport Hanger
- 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Civic organizations have food and beverages on site
- 6:30 AM - Flight of 90+ balloons including special shapes
- 9:00 AM - Entertainment - kids fun activities, Balloon Festival Art Show, kite flying, military aircarft display, tourism tent
- 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM - Entertainment in the Entertainment Tent
- 6:00 PM - Balloon Launch of 90+ (including some special shaped balloons!)
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th - Battlefield Park, Lake George Village
- 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Stony Creek Band - Battlefield Park
- 8:30 PM - Balloon Moonglow (weather permitting) Stony Creek Band will perform during the Moonglow
- 9:00 PM - Spectacular fireworks display over Lake George
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st - Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Breakfast, Airport Hanger
- 6:30 AM - Balloon Launch 90+ balloons (including some special shaped balloons!)
- 8:00 AM - Roman Catholic Mass in Entertainment Tent
- 9:00 AM - Protestant Church Service in Entertainment Tent
- 9:00 AM - Entertainment - kids fun activities, kite flying, military aircraft display, Balloon Festival Art Show, tourism tent
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st - Adirondack Community College, Queensbury
- 5:00 PM - Balloon Launch of 25+ hot air balloons
