The 2023 Adirondack Balloon Festival: 50th Anniversary!

September 21 - 24, 2023

The Adirondack Balloon Festival is scheduled for September 21 - 24, 2023, and takes place in the Lake George/Glens Falls/Queensbury region. This will be the 50th anniversary celebration of the ultra-popular event!

2023 Adirondack Balloon Festival Schedule

September 20

  • Pre-Festival Cocktail Reception & Moonglow at Hiland Park Country Club

September 21

  • 50th Anniversary Parade in downtown Glens Falls at 4pm 
  • Flight of up to 10 hot air balloons in Crandall Park, live music, vendors, at 5pm

September 22

  • Field of hot air balloons and special shapes, Balloon Craft Show, vendors, kids activities, and live music at Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, launch at about 5:30pm

September 23

  • New Dawn Patrol Launch at Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport with 5 to 10 balloons at about 5:45am, followed by typical morning flight of 70+ balloons and special shapes at about 6:45am
  • Half balloons fly, half stay at 5:30pm
  • Moonglow at 8pm

September 24

  • Walter & Joan's Mass Ascension flight of up to 90 balloons at Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport at about 7am

The Adirondack Balloon Festival is subject to weather conditions and flight times are approximate.

There are no dogs, drones, remote control aircraft, or smoking allowed at any festival events. VIP parking passes are sold out.
