The LGAP is located on the corner of Canada and Amherst Streets in the Heart of Lake George Village, next to Shepard Park, off at Exit 21, on Interstate 87, of Warren County.

Office hours are Monday though Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The hours of the gallery are Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5:00 P.M., or by request. The gallery accommodates a wide variety of art forms and is free-of-charge during regular business hours. The building is not handicap accessible.

The LGAP is home to the Lake George Jazz Weekend usually held the weekend after labor day. Wednesday nights in July and August LGAP conducts a summer concert series. Diverse ethnic groups play their music in Shepard Park.

LGAP conducts a spring and fall writer's workshop for a nominal fee. They also publish a biannual literary review.
