The Minerva Historical Society was formed on March 22, 1955. It is a non-profit, educational organization, formed to promote public interest in Minerva's history and folklore. The Museum has two permanent exhibits: The Tree of Life Mural with charts; and files for researching ancestry of the original settlers of Minerva and Winslow Homer prints of his original oils and water colors done here in Minerva.
Each year the museum has a different theme and display. The Museum is open from July 4th to Labor Day, Tuesday thru Sunday, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
