Overview

Beaver Meadow Falls is a 60-foot horsetail cascade falls on a tributary to the East Branch of the Ausable River.

It is located on the Ausable Club property, and the primary trailhead is on the outskirts of Keene Valley.

From Route 73 in Lake Placid, continue through Keene and into Saint Huberts. You'll see the trailhead for the Adirondack Mountain Reserve on your right, right across the road from the Roaring Brook Falls Trail to Giant Mountain.

Park in the lot, and follow a dirt road to a paved one. Turn left before the main club house on Lake Road Way, and you'll see the gate of the AMR.

Hike 2 miles from the gate, and you'll see a sign and trail on your right for Gothics and Beaver Meadow Falls. Follow the trail, and you'll see the falls just over the bridge.

Those with children should note that it is a 3.7-mile one-way hike to reach the falls that could take as long as 3 hours.
