Follow a 1.3-mile hike one way along the Northville-Lake Placid Trail to the falls.
Take Route 8 from Speculator 9 miles west. Keep an eye out for DEC trailhead signs indicating the Northville-Lake Placid Trail on the left. Follow the blue trail-markers on the trail for 1.3 miles. When you get to a wooden foot bridge look the right for the top of the waterfall. Paths on both sides lead to the bottom of the falls.
