This by far is the worse rv campground we have Ever been to. I booked online about three weeks in advance for this trip with our family. It was a little pricey at $122 a night but Online it said we were paying for a waterfront spot, so I thought it would be worth it, boy was I wrong . The second we got there we noticed we were in the middle of two Construction sites with NO WATER VIEW , we were also very close to other Rvs with absolutely no privacy on either side. We went to the front desk to explain to them that we payed for a water front property and this is what was said to us and let me quote “It is a water front, you just can’t see it”. So yea if u want to spend $350 for two nights to stay at a water front property you can’t see this is perfect for you!
***BED BUG WARNING*** We rented a cabin at the campground for 3 nights, July 16 - 19. Everyone in our cabin who slept on or came in contact with the pull-out sleeper couch now has bed bug bites all over their body. Another family we traveled with came home with the same problem and their cabin was in a different area of the campground. They never set foot inside ours. A week and a half later and new welts are emerging on our bodies every day and we are concerned we brought the bed bugs into our homes. We have been attempting to contact the campground to inform them of their problem and help others avoid having to deal with this issue. Just a friendly buyer beware message. Hope this helps someone.
As a day visitor I went to visit family with the understanding it was $6/day per visitor. Imagine my surprise at $20/day/visitor was charged. Staff stated it was policy for tracking due to COVID. Hello it was listed nowhere in the website, in the office etc. it feels like price gouging in the face of circumstances. Staff were unhelpful and dismissive. I was appalled at the size of campsites- crowded and no order to parking down by the beach area or entering/exiting boating area. I think it was totally a risky setup with the number of people and lack of any traffic control. Needless to say this is not a place I would ever recommend or visit again
Extremely crowded, one small pool foe way too many people. This caused it to be cloudy. River beach was nice but they allow dogs there too! Swimming in the water and constant barking. Not relaxing at all. Our campsite was ok but it hadn’t been cleaned bottle caps, peanut shells all over.for 100$ a night things should have been much nicer. The water slide had a hold in it. That was a huge disappointment to the kids.

Julie, We are very disappointed you and your did not have the excepptional experience most of our guests have. We strive to make each guest experience incredible. We indeed have the 2 pools for our guests, the river and the additional water features. We do have a large park and with all the activities it sometimes can get a bit crowded. We take every effort to monitor the pool and the river to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time. I will however mention our pool have not been cloudy, We monitor them 4 times a day and they have tested perfectly.
We hope you return and visit us again. We are a family resort and I am sure your visit next time will exceed your expectations.
I had a great time at Lake George Escape Camp grounds all Summer. there was always something to do. the staff was super nice.
The campground was fantastic and we had a great time despite the rain. The only complaint we had was our cabin was infested with bugs and got into our food and we had to throw away a couple hundred dollars of food away due to our food infested with the bugs. They really need to at least spray down the cabins or around the vicinity of the cabin to prevent this from happening again. Was very upset and frustrated that we had to throw away so much food. Thought we could save money so we can spend more at the resort but guess not!

Thank you for your review. Our goal is to make sure every guest has the best experience possible. We do have preventive maintenance for each and every cabin weekly for outdoor life and strive to minimize any intrusion from bugs. However, bugs love sugar and crumbs and we are not able to control all external influences as we are located in the middle of the Adirondack park. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope you return in the future.
