Meadowbrook campground is the best bargain in town for those visiting the Lake Placid Olympic Training venues and the Village of Lake Placid. Only four miles away from the center of town, the campground offers wonderful amenities.
Meadowbrook Public Campground is located near Lake Placid. The campground first opened for public camping in 1933.
The campground is near many hiking trails for both experienced and beginning hikers. Picnicking and camping are wonderful here.
Campsites with hot showers, flush toilets, a trailer dump station, a recycling center, a picnic area with pavilions, and hiking trails are the park's featured amenities.
Whiteface Mountain Memorial Highway is only 15 miles away, as is the Saranac Inn Fish Hatchery. The Adirondack Park Visitors Interpretive Center is located 18 miles west of the campground. Nearby villages offer restaurants, shopping, golf courses, and horseback riding facilities.
