RoosterComb Inn is located in the heart of Keene Valley and the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks. Upon arrival our guest are encouraged to settle in and throw the keys in the dresser and enjoy the quaint Adirondack village experience. The Garden trail head into the High Peaks and various other trailheads are all within walking distance of the Inn. Within a few minutes, you can stroll to village restaurants, the grocery store and specialty shops such as The Mountaineer or The Birch Store to name a few. The Inn provides a blend of historic Victorian and Adirondack rustic decor and furniture. Each room is decorated in soothing deep earth colors to enhance relaxation after the day's adventure. Each of the comfortable rooms; Hedge Hog, Wolf Jaw and Spread Eagle share 1.5 baths, and RoosterComb Suite has its own private bath and sitting room. There is a modern, fully outfitted kitchen available to all guests, along with free laundry facilities. Wi-Fi and our phone are always made available to everyone. Our vestibule area is the perfect place to store your gear. The outdoor covered porch is furnished with comfortable Adirondack furniture to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast or for quiet reading. The upstairs deck provides a friendly dinner spot with spectacular views of Roostercomb, Wolf Jaws, Brothers, and Porter mountains. It's our guests' favorite meeting place to share food, wine and adventures. Rich conversation and laughter always echo into the sunset. The Inn sits on a professionally landscaped acre of land decorated with beautiful trees and gardens. Picnic tables, grills and Adirondack furniture are placed throughout the grounds and front porch of Bald Mountain Rustics for the comfort of our guests. A recently renovated 4000 sq foot lovely lady Victorian, the entrepreneurial spirit behind this project is considered "The poster child of the Adirondack Park Agency." On the first floor you can visit our newly expanded gift shop and furniture store, Bald Mountain Rustics (named after Steve's cranial gleam). Down To Earth Therapeutic Massage is also conveniently located within the walls of the Inn. (Book your appointments in advance because Marie's expert therapeutic talent is widely sought out. The picturesque High Peaks of the Adirondacks is famous for its extensive trail system consisting of the easiest hike/ski/snowshoe adventures to the most rugged terrain popular for world class rock/ice climbers, back country skiers, snow shoeing and avid hikers. Wildlife, flora and fauna are added bonuses especially for the photographer and artist within you. Lake Placid just a 20 minute drive from Keene Valley offers guided tours of the Olympic Venues, and opportunities such as skating in Olympic rinks, bobsled runs and a variety of shopping. Memorial Highway on Whiteface Mountain (25 min drive) offers an opportunity to see the expansiveness of the 6,000 acre Adirondack Park as well as Montreal on a clear day.
