Roedel Companies recently announced a new addition to its Hotel Saranac renovation project: a warm and welcoming dining experience that will appeal to both visitors and locals!
The signature restaurant is called “Campfire, Adirondack Grill & Bar,” and will be located on the street level of the building facing Main Street. Roedel Companies reports that the restaurant will help “evoke memories” for patrons of time spent in the great outdoors, and of stories shared around the campfire.
Regarding the cuisine, Roedel said in a statement, “Menu items will be inspired by camp cooking that was prevalent within the region in the 19th and 20th centuries, and will feature ingredients indigenous to the Adirondacks including maple syrup, wild leeks, wild cranberries, venison, rabbit, duck, turkey, bass, trout, and salmon.”
The common theme uniting the restaurant will be fire. This will be embodied in the use of wood, coals, iron skillets, flames, and smoke in the kitchen to evoke the true camp cooking experience, as well as to emphasize the warmth and security of campfires.
Do you want your memories to be a part of Campfire, Adirondack Grill & Bar? You can submit photos of your family camping trips, both past and present, on the Hotel Saranac Facebook page, and they will be compiled and featured in the restaurant!
Hotel Saranac is undergoing extensive renovations, and will be re-opening – along with Campfire, Adirondack Grill & Bar – in 2016.
