The upcoming Eat ADK Restaurant Week is no longer taking place solely in Lake Placid! Eateries in four other municipalities are participating as well, and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic looking event!
Eat Adirondack Restaurant Week
Eat ADK Restaurant Week, happening from April 27th to May 4th, had previously only included restaurants in Lake Placid.
This year, establishments in Saranac Lake, Wilmington, Keene, and Tupper Lake are also taking part. Participating restaurants are offering three-course dinners at fixed prices of $15, $20, or $30.
“The business community of the four municipalities is very supportive,” Eat Adirondack Committee Chairwoman Manager Kelsey Torrance-Cassidy told the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.
Among the new participating restaurants are the Amado Bakery & Bistro in Tupper Lake, Bitters & Bones in Saranac Lake, Blue Moon Cafe in Saranac Lake, P-2’s and the Irish Pub in Tupper Lake. You can find a full list at eatadk.com, or you can check Eat ADK’s Facebook page.
Restaurants who are returning to participate in the event once again include the ‘Dack Shack, the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, Top of the Park, and Kanu at the Whiteface Lodge. Kanu is a unique place to dine. They have an open kitchen where you can see their culinary experts preparing your delicious food!
In all, there are over 30 restaurants participating in Eat ADK Restaurant Week.
Lodging Specials
Area hotels and resorts are offering lodging specials as an incentive to draw people to restaurant week who may not be local.
The Whiteface Lodge, the Courtyard by the Marriott at Lake Placid, the High Peaks Resort, Placid Bay Inn, and the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort are among the hotels that are offering a special deal during the week.
More Fun
Daffest 2017 in Saranac Lake is happening during the beginning of restaurant week, April 27th to April 30th. This is a massive community effort to plant one million daffodil bulbs and to celebrate these blooms with a festival. To date, over 80,000 bulbs have been planted.
Highlights of the event include the Daffest Pub Crawl, 5K Zoom in Bloom Race, Daffest Derby, and walking tours.
Stop by Daffest during the day, and then head to one of ADK Restaurant Week’s restaurants for dinner!
