If you find yourself driving anywhere near Lake George, Blue Mountain Lake’s Boat Livery’s Three-Lake Cruise should be your ultimate destination. Blue Mountain is a jewel of a lake that should not be missed. My daughter and I spent a terrific summer afternoon on the boat cruise, taking in lakes’ beauties. The stately, antique boat quietly cut through the water, allowing us to see and hear all that was around us. Having summered in Blue Mountain since he and his brothers were kids, Captain Bob gave us an entertaining narration of the lake’s past– when it was one of the most popular playgrounds for the major players of New York City.
