About this event
Savor the season while supporting a vital Adirondack community resource at the Friends of the Town of Chester Library Annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction, Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2–5 pm at The Bond 1786 in Warrensburg, NY.
Guests can gather with friends over curated wines, mocktails and appetizers while browsing a silent auction filled with desirable items and experiences donated by local businesses, artists and supporters. Past auctions have featured restaurant and lodging gift certificates, rounds of golf, fine jewelry, handcrafted works by local artists, sommelier-selected wines and other Adirondack finds. Unique raffle baskets offer even more chances to go home with something special.
Best of all, every ticket, auction bid and raffle purchase helps the Friends provide programs and resources for the Town of Chester Public Library.
In 2025, the Friends provided nearly $10,000 to supplement the Library’s budget and supported programs and services including the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Hoopla digital media and the Story Book Trail at Dynamite Hill. The Friends also supported a college scholarship for a North Warren Central School graduate and provided free children’s books at the Rotary Christmas Party.
Enjoy an early fall afternoon in the Adirondacks while helping a rural community library continue to provide books, technology, digital resources, educational programs and more.
