How to Build a Library follows two intrepid Nairobi women as they take on an ambitious task: transforming a formerly whites-only library into a vibrant cultural hub for the whole community. Along the way, they confront the lingering ghosts of Kenya's colonial past and ask hard questions about how a place shaped by history can become a space that belongs to everyone.
The Tuesday Movie Club is a free, monthly documentary series brought to you by Mountain Lake PBS, POV, and libraries across the Clinton-Essex-Franklin Library System. Once a month, we screen a powerful documentary at libraries across the region — then stick around to talk about it. Free and open to everyone.
