2024 Lake Placid Classic - Half Marathon & 10k

On October 12, 2024, get ready to race in the 53rd Annual Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon and 10K.

• This event is one of the Lake Placid region's only not-for-profit running/walking events. The event aims to raise funds to support a community-wide wellness initiative and support local youth programming. 
• This event starts and finishes at the North Elba Horse Showgrounds surrounded by nature and the beauty of the high peaks. The average number of participants is 550.
• The race route encompasses two moderate hills, one at the start and one towards the end. 
• The start time is 8:00 a.m., with the course closing at noon. 
• For both distances, awards for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and top three age groups including 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39;40-49;50-59;60-69 and over 70.
