Ausable Region in the Adirondacks

The Ausable Region of Upstate NY can be found in Clinton County. Located in the Southeast Corner of the county, Ausable offers a quiet, hometown community for all who call the region home.

Essex County's border is located south of the region, and Lake Champlain is located just east of the town of Ausable.

Birmingham Falls, a breathtaking waterfall can also be found in the region - located where the Ausable River breaks through the Potsdam sandstone. Located about 2 miles below Keeseville, NY.

Most notably, the Au Sable River is located in the valley along with Ausable Chasm, a popular destination since 1870. Explore 1,000 acres of historic, geologic rock formations, waterfalls and breathtaking vistas along scenic nature trails. You can also go camping, rafting or tubing down the river and much more.

Ausable Valley Central School District also serves the region
