Overview

Seagle Festival is not only an outstanding opera and musical theater, but they also have the oldest summer vocal training program in the country! This nonprofit organization works to train gifted singers and present incredible performances.

A Rich History of Talented Performers

Seagle Festival was founded in 1915 by world-renowned baritone Oscar Seagle. From its beginning over 100 years ago to today, young singing actors travel from across the country to study with the dynamic faculty and staff at Seagle Festival. Singers gain crucial experience in opera and musical theater, and audiences from all over delight in incredible performances.

The Prestigious Summer Vocal Training Program

Each year, Seagle Festival selects 32 talented young singers from all over to participate in their reputable program. Artists go through a meticulous application and audition process with both live and recorded auditions. From there, the artists engage in six fully staged productions each season in addition to concerts, diction, acting classes, and private coaching sessions.

Alumni from Seagle Festival sing on Broadway and opera stages across the country and even the world, including the New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Metropolitan Opera, and many more.
